AUGUST 12, 2010
Today I changed my artist name of four years, Percy Feils, to the name my parents gave me, Michael Linton Simpson.
This is something I wrote a couple of years back that is based on E.B. White's "Here is New York" and the work of Derek Weisberg:
The tinsmith and the ladder maker toil to live another day without accolade. Figures of dysfunction, rust, disuse, solitude, miscommunication, ten thousand questions without answer followed by ten thousand more. Derelict knuckle draggers ramble without their lares and penates, kings of the human landscape never noticed by princes; coronated by Derek Weisberg.
